Diane Norton joins Chamber of Commerce Staff

​Thomas Peaco, Executive Director of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, recently announced that Diane Norton has been hired to serve as Director of Member Marketing & Development. Norton commenced her role on February 1, 2016.

Peaco noted, “We are thrilled to welcome Diane to our Chamber staffing team. She is a very familiar face in our business community, and she brings great knowledge of our region to this new role. The December issue of Delta Sky magazine includes a special feature showcasing Maine's diverse economic and business community, vibrant tourism industry and respected institutions of higher learning reinforcing the message that Maine is “Open for Business.” Spearheaded by DECD, this piece will be available online for a full year.

The Maine profile will reach more than 5.4 million readers on Delta’s worldwide flights. These readers are business decision makers with over 4.5 million college educated and over 1 million with HHI of $175,000+. Tradition fills the streets as holiday season starts

Santa always lands in Rockland with the help of the Coast Guard, and they did it again Friday, bringing him to Buoy Park at high tide.

Hundreds of children, parents and grandparents were there to greet him. Some parents said they remembered doing this when they were kids. To no one's surprise, the Jolly Old Elf drew a big crowd of kids from the moment he climbed the ramp from the dock. They followed Santa to his "workshop" in Harbor Park, where he visits with youngsters after the arrival.
