Aldermere Farm offers free Sap to Syrup Program

Cabin fever setting in? Looking for a sweet pick-me-up? During the month of March, Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) invites all ages to try out making maple syrup from scratch (i.e. sap) at Aldermere Farm, 70 Russell Ave in Rockport. Library Film Club Celebrates Black History Month

On Friday, February 19, at 4:00 pm, the Camden Public Library’s Friday Film Club will meet on Zoom to discuss two powerful and critically-acclaimed films that explore the ongoing struggles of African Americans to gain social equality. The selections are Loving (2016, 2 hr 3 min, PG) and I Am Not Your Negro (2016, 1 hr 34 min, PG-13). AIO FILL THE STRAND Event Success!

On Monday, January 18, 2021 AIO Food and Energy Assistance hosted its first FILL THE STRAND food and funds drive to benefit AIO’s Food Assistance, Energy Assistance and Weekend Meal Programs. The day was significant as a national day of service, honoring Martin Luther King Jr. The goal was to fill every seat in the theater with a bag of food or funds for food; with the overwhelming support from the community AIO was able to fill the theater three times! UMA receives $941,000 grant from Mellon Foundation
