Three internationally acclaimed artists, with concert appearances on four continents and numerous accolades including a Grammy nomination, Thoreau Piano Trio are an ensemble of “depth, brilliance and conviction” (Boston Voyager Magazine). Violinist Susan Jensen, cellist Darry Dolezal and pianist Paul Jacobs created the trio with a mission to transform conventional viewpoints, and explore links between music, art, literature and philosophy. Celebrating Maine's role in American art, the Farnsworth offers a nationally recognized collection from many of America's greatest artists. The museum houses the nation's second-largest collection of works by 20th-century sculptor Louise Nevelson. Its Wyeth Center features works of Andrew, N.C., and Jamie Wyeth. Open all year, daily 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; closed winter Mondays and Tuesdays. Available for special events.
