Mother's Day in the Camden-Rockland Region

Mother’s Day is May 14th. As provided by our members, here are some delightful dining, gift, and event suggestions to share with your mom. Please note: some of these start or take place before Mother’s Day. Enjoy!

Union Area Wineries celebrate Mother’s Day Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery and Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery, both of Union, are celebrating Mother’s Day with Maine wine, spirits, treats, and gifts. Union, Maine, Mother’s Day, Sunday May 14th, 2017, 11 am to 5 pm – Treat Mom to a drive in the country this Mother’s Day!

We’ll play host to Wilbur’s of Maine Chocolate Confections from Freeport, 7-time winner of Down East Magazine Reader’s Choice Poll for Maine’s Best Chocolate and Best Candy Shop. Also on hand, with blending houses in Cushing and Stonington, will be Tempest in a Teapot. As a special treat we will be serving Sangria Iced Tea. Treat Mom to an English Garden Party with tea, wine and chocolates under the tent on the lawn. And, don’t forget, Mom’s day wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful free plant from Seven Tree Farm and Greenhouse, compliments of Savage Oakes.

Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery; 347 Carroll Rd, Union Producer of wines and spirits, Sweetgrass will be hosting Portland chocolate maker Dean’s Sweets, Waldoboro candy maker Copper Tail Farm, and Sugar Spell Sweets from Damariscotta. Sample delectable truffles, decadent caramels, and oozing chocolate cookies paired with our wines and spirits. For a blast from the past we’ll be showing you how to make your own “wine coolers”.
