Lights Over Montpelier - A Sparkling Experience
Atop the hill overlooking Routes 1 and 131 in Thomaston this holiday season, Montpelier will be decked out in pine, evergreen and lights. We invite families to join their friends and neighbors beginning at dusk each night for a sparkling drive-through experience at the Knox Museum beginning December 5, 2020 and running through January 9, 2021.
In lieu of Knox Museum’s annual Holiday Open House, where visitors are invited inside to view the beautifully decorated rooms, this outdoor display of lighted trees, garlands and window candles will provide a complementary bookend to Thomaston’s illuminated trees in The Mall on the southern end of town. We invite the community to enjoy the experience from the warmth of your car and invite you to return many times throughout the holiday season. We all need a symbol of hope and peace this year more than ever.

On WINDJAMMER WEDNESDAY, December 9, 2020 only, Maine Windjammer Association gift certificates will be 10% off. This is the first time ever that gift certificates have gone on sale, and it happens only one day of the year. Call 1-800-807-9463 to get in on the sale for a sail on December 9th only. Gift certificates continue to be on sale throughout the holiday season, and each of the 8 boats in the fleet offer their own gift certificates for future sails too.

Chestnut Street Baptist Church would like to invite you to travel back in time and experience what it might have been like to be in Bethlehem on the night of our Savior's birth. Night In Bethlehem is a live nativity scene and retelling of the Christmas story, entirely outdoors in front of our church on Chestnut Street. This safe, open air environment integrates masks, social distancing, and the safety protocols instituted for our area during COVID-19. To avoid crowds and large gatherings, we ask that folks keep distant yet moving for all to view and to be within our current local and state guidelines for Camden and all Christmas by the Sea events.

Starting Black Friday, PAWS will go live with its annual Auction for the Animals, until midnight December 9. For more information on how to take part in the auction in support of PAWS and local businesses, follow PAWS on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pawsanimaladoptioncenter or visit their website at www.pawsadoption.org.
