Wine Tasting- Cheers to 30 Years!

Coastal Mountains Nature Program walk – Wildlife Tracking at the St. Clair Preserve, Northport

The first session of the 2017 Coastal Mountains Nature Program series begins on Sunday, February 19th from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. Spend the afternoon learning about wildlife tracking with biologist and naturalist, Ray "Bucky" Owen. Bucky has spent decades teaching and contributing to land and wildlife conservation throughout Maine. He served as the commissioner of the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife and is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Maine Orono's Department of Wildlife Ecology where he also served as Chairman. Historic Inns of Rockland donate $25,768 to AIO Food Pantry & Fuel Assistance Program from proceeds of 13th Annual Pie Tour

On Feb 8, 2017, innkeepers, restaurant owner and business members who participated in the 13th Annual Pies on Parade Pie Tour presented a check to the Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) Food Pantry and Fuel Assistance Program for $25,768 representing all ticket sales, silent auction and raffle proceeds, and cash donations from the annual pie tour. This brings the total donations for AIO’s food and fuel assistance programs to more than $160,052 from the Pies on Parade’s thirteen-year tenure. More...

Join us at the Owls Head Transportation Museum for free activities during February School Vacation Week

The Owls Head Transportation Museum is pleased to offer an exciting array of children’s activities throughout February school vacation week. Beginning on Monday, Feb. 20 and extending through Friday, Feb. 24, the Museum will host workshops beginning at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day. Early registration is open to Museum members at the Household Membership level and up on January 30, registration for non-members opens on February 10. Designed for youth ages six to 14, these fun educational workshops are free to the public and materials are provided (suggested donation $5.) Pre-registration is strongly encouraged as seating is limited, children participating in vacation week activities must be accompanied by an adult. More...
