Damariscotta Bank & Trust ranked third in the medium-size employer category (50-249 U.S. employees) for the Best Places to Work in Maine 2019 list. This statewide survey and awards program was created in 2006 to identify, recognize and award the best places of employment in Maine who are benefitting the state’s economy, its workforce and business.
“We are very pleased to have been chosen as one the Best Places to Work in Maine for the fourth year in a row. It was even more exciting this year to place at #3 in our category moving up from #5 last year. At DB&T we are committed to developing our employees so they can feel confident in their roles. One way we do this is through our Professional Development Program which offers our employees growth opportunities and helps foster a continuous learning environment. Because of this commitment, most of our positions that are not entry level are hired from within the company,” said Marcia Benner, Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer.
In the employee survey section of the evaluation an employee said, “DB&T has helped me meet my goals and shows appreciation for hard work and dedication to the company. They treat everyone like an individual and make work feel like home.” Another employee shared, “everyone is treated with respect and encouraged to grow.”
“We are very proud of the culture and environment we have built at DB&T and appreciative of our accessible, resourceful and responsible employees. Our employees are what make our institution reflect these attributes for our customers and provide them with exceptional service,” Scott Conant, CEO & President said.
